THE NNT™ NEWS: Volume II, Edition 1.
Daily Mail Print Accurate Story.
Shock broke out on Fleet Street this morning when it was seen that the Daily Mail 1st Edition contained a story about Tony Blair's "most intimate sex secrets" that was undeniably true.
Before Downing Street could comment, Editor Paul Dacre retracted the story, and offered Mr. Blair and his wife, Mrs. Blair a profuse and grovelling apology. The story was not featured in any later editions. Peter Wright, editor of the Mail's sister paper, the Mail on Sunday, said he was shocked that such a thing could be let to happen, and called on Dacre to resign.
News of the story, featured only in the early edition, bought by approximately 29.4 people every day, spread like wildfire, and people are desperately trying to get hold of a copy. On eBay.com, member "Big_Bobby_69" was offering just the double page spread on which it featured for a starting price of £349.99. By the time we saw this, it had rocketed to £351.24. There's no telling where it will end.
